EnerBrite's technology has been perfected for use in multi-unit residences, institutional buildings and commercial spaces. The sophisticated programming built into our system has been deliberately designed for maximum versatility. This allows us to customize the system to meet the highly diverse needs of our clients, which range from apartment buildings and condominiums to social housing, from hotels and motels to schools and nursing homes.
How does the EnerBrite thermostat differ from other thermostats?
EnerBrite thermostats are actually microprocessors which incorporate the latest and best technology available. A significant amount of programming has been built into the thermostats for maximum flexibility in accommodating the wide variety of our customers' requirements.
How does the EnerBrite system save energy?
Each installation includes an entry door contact linked to the thermostat. Once activated, the system searches for body heat or motion to determine if the apartment is occupied. If unoccupied, the system adjusts the temperature settings ('setbacks'). This setback feature goes even deeper for extended periods of absence, for example if the resident has gone away for the weekend or is on vacation.
The door contacts can also be installed on exterior doors (e.g. balconies). If an exterior door is left open for a prolonged period, the system can deactivate the heating or cooling system until it has been closed.
The system can also be programmed even in the 'occupied mode' to modify temperature settings two hours after the resident has gone to bed. It then re-establishes the original setting upon detection of motion when the resident rises.
While the unit is occupied, the resident is in control of the temperature settings within the pre-set minimum/maximum parameters.
The versatility integral to the EnerBrite technology allows for a broad spectrum of system configurations which can be tailored to the specific needs of each building's management and its occupants.

What savings can I expect to see?
When integrated into building design or included in a retrofit, the EnerBrite system can save over 30% on energy costs.
How much do the thermostats cost?
There are several different models available, each with its own functionality. Cost depends on the requirements each will fulfill as well as on the number of units purchased.
Will the thermostat work with my building's existing equipment?
Our thermostats interface with all HVAC systems.
Does it control both heating and air conditioning?
Yes. It can also control lighting, electrical appliances, curtains and shades, entertainment systems, etc.
How long does it take to install a thermostat?
Anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours.
Once installed, is it easy to operate?
Yes, very easy. Two buttons control all functions - On/Off/Auto and Up/Down temperature selection.
After installation, can it be reprogrammed?
Yes. Reprogramming takes literally just a couple of minutes and can be customized to accommodate the comfort requirements of individual units. Reprogramming would normally be carried out by the building's authorized maintenance personnel, who are trained by us to implement reprogramming requirements.
How much does it cost to install the EnerBrite system?
The EnerBrite system can be either stand-alone (hardwired or wireless) or networked (hardwired or wireless). Installation cost depends on many factors. Unit size and layout, the number of floors, the existing HVAC system, low voltage vs line voltage, and building construction (e.g. concrete or dry wall finish, metal or wooden door frames, etc.) all need to be taken into consideration. An additional variable affecting installation of the network system is the number of reporting stations requested (e.g. Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security, etc.).
